In brief.... if I can be brief... I think I can...

I'm 50+ years old, comfortably fat, and a pretty typical Sagittarian. I am a natural blonde, but my hair color changes without warning. However, my Irish eyes always remain blue.

I've never been married or had children (by choice). I was an Army brat, and I've lived in many different places, but for many years now I have made my home in Texas with an old friend and a lot of animals.

I'm not sure that a period of youthful wild flings followed by a long abstinence qualifies me to write about romance, but I'm a great believer in the power of daydreaming, which is component of romance, and I adore happy endings. So maybe I'm OK.

I have been writing all my life. I started out by telling my child-self stories using my toys (generally Breyer horses and china animals, which I preferred to dolls), and I tried my hand at writing a real story in 7th grade. That story taught me to accept failure, but also how much I loved the process. I wrote fanfiction madly for the entertainment of myself and my best friend, but didn't begin serious writing until relatively recently. I was first introduced to romance fiction by Georgette Heyer and LaVyrle Spencer, and I now have many favorite romance authors, including Nora Roberts, Fiona Hill, Claire Darcy, Janet Evanovich, and... well, lots more. Not to mention the amazing Jane Austen. But that should give the experienced romance reader an idea of my influences - and give the inexperienced reader some good authors to try!
